Stripe, right on your checkout page
Customers can now pay by card without leaving your site. The card form appears directly on your checkout page, including the 3D Secure check.
The card is only charged once the order has been accepted, so a checkout that fails never costs your customer anything. The default checkout templates already support it: add your Stripe keys in the Control Panel and you’re ready to go.
For iDEAL, Bancontact and other payment methods, you can keep using the existing Stripe Checkout.
Refunds from the Control Panel
You can now refund an order straight from the Control Panel. There’s no need to log in to your payment provider for that.
A smoother PayPal checkout
PayPal now has its own review page, where customers confirm their payment before it goes through. That completes the PayPal checkout flow.
Small things that make a difference
- Readable payment methods: orders now show a readable payment method, like “Stripe (on-site, card)”, instead of an internal code.
- Faster address edits: when you edit a billing address in the CP, you can update the shipping address and recalculate the order in one go.
- Simpler licensing: Store now uses ExpressionEngine’s own license check.
- Bugfixes: for example, a multi-step checkout now remembers the chosen shipping method.
License management is moving to ExpressionEngine
Starting with this release, license management for all of our add-ons is moving from our own license server to ExpressionEngine’s built-in license verification.
What stays the same: you can still purchase the add-ons on both addons.reinos.nl and the ExpressionEngine add-on store.
What changes: only the management of your license (activation, renewals, etc.) moves to ExpressionEngine.
The change will be rolled out over the coming months. Everyone will receive a separate email with more details before their license is migrated, so consider this a heads-up.
